It's really the truth-
it's not the heat it's the humidity!

Here in Florida, air conditioners do a full-time job. We need cooling practically year 'round, and our high-humidity environment puts extra demands on equipment to remove all that moisture from the air so you can feel really comfortable.

A standard system is limited because it only focuses on lowering the temperature of indoor air. During the day, when outside temperatures are hottest, the system runs long enough to remove much of the humidity too. However, at night and in the early morning, outdoor temperatures are significantly lower. The system will stay on to cool the air, but doesn't run long enough to extract much moisture. Humidity inside can shoot up from a comfortable 50% to 80%, resulting in a damp and clammy home.

Now, designed for Florida's special climate, Variable Speed Air Conditioning Systems employ advanced technology to wring up to FOUR times more moisture from the air than standard systems, delivering a superior level of comfort in your home day and night.

New Variable Speed Systems react to both heat and humidity by using an advanced variable speed air handler that continuously monitors humidity, automatically varying fan speed all day long to minimize temperature swings, giving you more even temperature and humidity levels.

Unlike a standard system's fan motor that only runs "on" at full speed or "off," the variable speed air handler fan motor "ramps up" to full speed incrementally during start-up cycles, allowing the cooling coils to become super-chilled. Then as the air moves slowly over the coils, far greater amounts of moisture are removed. As the desired temperature indoors is achieved, the fan motor slowly "ramps down," reversing the process.

There are additional benefits too. The variable speed air handler's continuous operation performs smoothly and quietly 24-hours-a-day. And, because the motor works at lower fan speeds, more dust and particles cling to the filter, flowing fresher, cleaner air into your home. Last, but not least, super-efficient variable speed systems also save you real money on your monthly power bills.

For all these reasons, a Variable Speed System is the best home comfort system for Florida.
